There is not a way for YOU to change your parent name, but I think the Big Dogs can do it.

Next time you are on, let me know what you would like to change it to, and I will ask them to make the switch.

I’m so sorry for the delayed response.
Some of their old profiles are here! And I completely get that, I hardly let anyone in my personal life know about AU, which may be a part of why AU eventually had its fallout. And yeah! Everyone was a part of their family somehow, haha. I remember someone had done a family tree some years ago about all of the AU prominent families, and most of them were able to relate back to the Duran’s. But, another big family was the Anthrax family! I was a part of that – twice actually, one with a cat, the other with a horse.
And yes! It was a constant stream of new pets – you could never tell who was first! well, you could before the yearbook was changed lol
I miss it all, soso much! I think about it a lot, and it always just hits me.
And I don’t know. I guess not. Augie hasn’t been the most active, and neither has Noonday. It… sucks, but – it hurts to say this – there’s hardly anyone new. There’s not even birthday messages anymore.

Hey! I’ve no clue when you’ll see this, but I’m just gonna say thank you for taking the time to read this, lol. It’s quite longer than I intended.
I just now, oops saw the mass post you made. And I can say that I know where you’re coming from! I created my first account back in 2010, when I was in third grade. Lol, as a junior in high school, I can totally agree with you that it’s just not the same when everything shifts in growing up.
I miss this site a lot sometimes, and it strikes me in some closed off place that I never really paid attention to. AU became a beacon for me to expand as a writer, as a creator, and as a dreamer. After joining, I’d gotten half of my class to join AU, lol, but then our school county blocked it.
To any extent though, I enjoy looking back on what it was, and it makes me happy to see that there’s people that still stick around, even if it’s only to check in once a month or so. AU was one of the biggest parts of my childhood, and something that opened a gateway to so much for me. I think, through AU, I actually determined the major(s) I’m going to try to take on in the next few years! It opened a door to make friends, and even to want to explore other roleplay sites. I got so excited, too, when I turned thirteen. I can’t believe it’s been eight years since I joined.
I mean, it’s insane how much things change. There was, like, pre-human AU, with the roleplay that had actions in parentheses and surge of clan cats, animal run businesses, and even clothing shops; I think that was AU’s prime, when we had Manny and Missy, and all of the “iconic” pets. That’s when everyone was focused on leveling up, expanding their dorms, and whatnot. The challenge! I loved it. There was the beaches everyone set up, the dances! When LIFE was a big part of it all, and “Facebark,” the numerous blogs. Digging through Rathskellar, a thread titled “OMG Can’t Believe it’s going to be 2012!” came up and, wow. And then there was the humans, and all that jazz. But here we are now.
Looking back on it, I feel that, if we’d let the human players stay, and rp as both, then things would’ve been different, but that took away AU’s charm. But, there’s not much we can do about that now.
It’s a shame, though, that the roleplay world has seemingly just crashed. I think that’s part of why I keep coming back to AU – the hope that one day it’d come back in it’s glory stages. Like, Augie hasn’t been on in a whole month, and that is shocking to me.
It’s very nostalgic, but AU has a special place in my heart.
Sorry for going on a tangent lol, I just enjoyed reminiscing in my experiences here.
