Hey Augie, here’s the newest masters class and the site I used. (:

Webs

With spiders having thousands and thousands of species inhabiting just about every continent here on earth, it can really make you wonder how each one spins their web. Are they all the same, or are they unique?

Keep reading to see just a few of the spider-webs made by some unique builders in the arachnid world!

Orb-Weaver spiders construct webs that are quite familiar with humans. With a circular design and large build, it can primarily be found outdoors.

Triangle spiders construct triangular shaped webs, which is quite obvious due to their name. These spider-webs are flat and built horizontally, though some humans think that they’re shaped like a slice of pizza.

Funnel-Web spiders build webs that can be used as both a trap and a hideout. It’s constructed with both a front entrance for easy hunting access, and a back entrance for a quick exit.

Cobweb spiders can be found right in your house! They construct super sticky and messy webs that line the walls of a garage, basement, or other storage spaces built right in an everyday household.

Mesh web spiders are known as the outdoor version of cobweb spiders, though their webs are more organized and not as messy as cobwebs. Their webs are mainly found underneath leaves, in fields & vegetation, and underneath rocks.

Hey Augie,

I have a proposition for three classes I’m writing..

Would it be okay for me to have those three classes talking about music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s? c:

Hey Aug-Dog, here’s the class & the site I used to get the information from.

Animals That Glow

In the Animal kingdom, there are quite a few fascinating creatures that can produce their own light! Keep reading to find out just what those animals are.

The Hawaiian Bobtail Squid uses its bioluminescence as a form of self defense — unlike the other types of squid that use large clouds of ink instead.

Deep Sea Anglerfish use the little light hanging off from their head as a lure for prey, which is seen in the movie Finding Nemo.

Just about everyone knows about fireflies! They’re the most well-known bioluminescent creature on earth, and human beings can’t help but to just love on them whenever summertime comes around.

Yet another deep-sea species that can produce their own light would be the rare Googly-Eyed Glass Squid. Their cells form bioluminescent photophores that emit light, which makes them stand out in the deep dark bathyal zone of the ocean.

Any type of species in the scorpion family can glow underneath an ultraviolet light, and this because researchers suggest that their entire exoskeleton is made of a fluorescent material that functions from underneath a light source.

Hey Augie,

I have that masters class written up! It’s only a few short paragraphs of text, so if you’d like, you can edit it if you’d like to once I send it over to you.

Also, I was thinking the quiz could be one of the matching types (kind of like the one for ‘Best of Breeds’); though I’m not sure how to format it.

If you could help me out with that, then please do!
